Price and Rewards Explained
NFT avatar price
The market price of every avatar is formed from base price and the demand adjusted markup (DAM). Whilst base price always remains fixed, the DAM goes up with every new avatar purchased, therefore increasing the end price of each element the avatar consists of. All price changes are recorded by the smart contract linked to your NFT avatar, which automatically increases your crypto avatar’s market price.
Technicals
Each element carries an ID and your avatar ID is made up of all these IDs put together. So, if the elements’ IDs are T3, CO, 2R, MV, X8, then the avatar ID will be T3CO2RMVX8. Every time someone purchases an avatar with, let’s say, element T3, the smart contact will add 1 to the element’s count, turning your avatar ID into 1T3CO2RMVX8. This is how the price of elements increases with every purchase and gets registered by the smart contract.
Fair rewards distribution
All holders of a specific element are split into pools of 20 participants each Rewards are then split evenly between the pool participants via a smart contract, which eliminates any chance of unfair distribution, given that all transactions are verifiable.

How to claim your NFT avatar?
The NFT art world has grown into a huge monster in less than a year and now boasts over 15 well established NFT artwork marketplaces, all fit for digital art and avatar exchange. All that is left for you to do is to start creating!
Here are the steps you need to take:
- Download and attach Metamask extension to your Chrome browser or install its iOS or Android version. It also runs on Firefox, Edge and Brave.
- Fund your Metamask account with enough ETH to claim your NFT avatar
- Return to 8biticon and your Metamask will automatically get connected to your profile
- Select the design pack
- Create your NFT avatar and claim it at a market price
- Congrats! You are now a proud owner of an extremely unique digital avatar collectible!
All purchased avatars get automatically linked to your Metamask account and from then on, govern them as you wish. Create more avatars and form a collection, get rewards from all elements your avatars are made of, put it up for sale or trade your digital avatar either within the 8biticon ecosystem or on an NFT marketplace. Otherwise you can simply hold on to it and see its price grow organically. The world is your oyster as they say and your options are limitless!
Each transaction can be managed via your 8biticon profile interface, whilst the actual NFT token is stored on the Ethereum blockchain, following the ERC721 standard. In other words, the digital avatar that you design and claim is forever yours until you decide to trade it.

How is Demand Adjusted Markup calculated?
DAM is an integral part of the 8biticon ecosystem and practically creates an internal market within the general NFT market and fuels an organic price increase according to the demand. Every time the element that you own gets purchased by another community member, its market price goes up, in turn increasing the 80% reward you get from every pixel art avatar you create and claim. Therefore, the price of every newly created pixel art avatar is calculated from its base price and the demand adjusted markup.
The DAM formula goes as follows:

n - Number of elements in the configurator. There are currently four elements available to the users (haircut, eyes, mouth, clothes)
B - Minting price. Each layer costs 0.003ETH, which means that a complete picture costs 0.015ETH
N - Number of times each element has been purchased
k - The uniqueness coefficient. It is a calculated ratio of the number of elements in the layer to the total number of elements. The ratios can be found on the 8biticon website, since they are subject to change with smart contract renewals.
How do I withdraw my rewards?
All the rewards that you get when other community members design and buy their NFT avatars will be executed via and stored on the smart contract. Since all transactions are Ethereum based, each tranche that takes place in relation to your account will incur a small fee related to blockchain processing. You can monitor all transactions via your 8biticon profile and we generally advise to withdraw rewards as soon as they form a reasonable amount. Otherwise, if the amount (reward size) kept on the smart contract is smaller than the set minimum amount, the blockchain network will continuously take out a fee and hence, the faster you withdraw, the better it is.
Withdrawals are done via your 8biticon pixel art icon constructor profile but we never limit you to it. Instead, you can spend your rewards on acquiring other NFT avatars or designing and climbing your own!
